Welcome to Cargo Empowered, a corporate relocation management platform that enables companies to request, compare, and book household goods shipment services on behalf of their employees.
By signing up and using our Services, you (the “Customer”) agree to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”) on behalf of your organization. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
1. Overview
Cargo Empowered connects corporate customers with vetted third-party vendors for employee relocation services. We provide a platform to manage quotes, scheduling, payments, and communication — but do not directly perform the relocation services.
2. Eligibility
To use the Services, you must:
- Be legally authorized to act on behalf of a company or organization.
- Use the platform solely for business purposes.
- Provide accurate and complete company information during account creation.
3. User Account Obligations
To access our Services, you must create a user account and provide required information. We recommend using your official company email and business contact details.
By creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide truthful, current, and complete information.
- Maintain and update your account details as needed.
- Protect your login credentials and notify us of unauthorized access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts with inaccurate or misleading information.
4. Payment Terms
- All payments are collected via credit card using our secure payment processor, Stripe.
- You must pay the quoted amount in full to confirm and book any relocation service.
- Orders will not be placed with vendors until payment is received and confirmed.
- We do not currently support ACH, bank transfer, or invoice-based payment methods.
5. Quote-Based Booking and Virtual Survey
- When you request a household goods shipment, a virtual survey will be conducted by the vendor at no upfront cost.
- Based on the survey results, you will receive a formal quote that includes all known costs.
- You must review and approve the quote before proceeding to payment and booking.
- Payment of the quoted amount confirms your booking and notifies the vendor to proceed.
6. Exception Charges
- In some cases, vendors may identify additional service requirements (e.g., limited access, long carry, special handling).
- These additional fees (“Exception Charges”) will be submitted to you for review.
- You will be notified of the charges and must explicitly approve them before they are billed.
- Exception Charges must be paid via credit card prior to or at the time of final service delivery.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations and refunds are governed by the terms of the selected vendor.
- Cargo Empowered does not issue refunds directly unless instructed to do so by the vendor.
- You are responsible for reviewing and understanding the cancellation policy prior to booking.
8. Data Privacy
- We collect and store only the information necessary to provide our Services. Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Payment details are processed securely via Stripe; we do not store full credit card information.
- We do not sell or share your information with third parties outside of what’s required to deliver the service.
9. Third-Party Vendors
- Service providers on our platform are independent businesses.
- Cargo Empowered is not liable for delays, losses, damages, or service disputes arising from vendor actions or omissions.
- We do not guarantee vendor availability, timelines, or pricing beyond what is quoted.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You breach these Terms or violate applicable laws.
- Fraudulent activity or payment disputes occur.
- Misuse of the platform or abuse of service providers is reported.
11. Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cargo Empowered is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the services in the preceding six (6) months.
12. Updates to These Terms
We may revise these Terms periodically. We will notify you of material changes through your account or via email. Continued use of the platform indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
